What is laminated glass? When is laminated glass used?
Laminated glass is a composite glass product consisting of two or more pieces of glass with one or more layers of organic polymer intermediate film sandwiched between them. After special high-temperature pre pressing (or vacuum pumping) and high-temperature high-pressure processing, the glass and intermediate film are permanently bonded together. Even if glass breaks, fragments will stick to the film, and the surface of the broken glass remains clean and smooth. This effectively prevents the occurrence of debris stabs and penetrating falls, ensuring personal safety.
It is recommended to use laminated glass for aluminum alloy doors and windows in the following situations: ①. Glass for floor spring doors; ②. Single glass area for windows is greater than 1.5m2, and single glass area for framed doors is greater than 0.5m2; ③ French window whose bottom edge of glass is less than 500mm from the final decoration surface; ④ Frameless door and window glass; ⑤ Entrance and exit doors of public buildings; ⑥ Doors of kindergartens or other children's activities; ⑦ Tilting windows and skylights; ⑧ Exterior windows of buildings with 7 floors and above.
